A former homeless woman has been accepted to Harvard University and needs YOUR help to cover tuition costs!!

This is a pretty incredible story! Toronto resident Tonika Morgan has been accepted to Harvard University and is determined to study there despite the challenges she’s faced in the past with homelessness. Currently, Toni is completing her final year of a BA at Ryerson University, while holding down a full-time job as a project manager at the Jane/Finch Community and Family Centre. She says “I did it. I faced my biggest fear. I silenced those inner voices of doubt and the voices of anyone who doubted me.”

Toni has been accepted to study towards a Masters of Education at Harvard University and it’s an AWESOME opportunity that she didn’t expect, however saying that tuition is expensive would be an understatement. There are no scholarships available to cover the costs of her schooling, despite already having a BA or her need of financial aid. So, Toni’s asking for OUR help to raise  $71,000 USD to meet tuition & living requirements by May 15th. Toni’s GO FUND ME page has met her goal of $50,000 for tuition, and is less than $1000 away from her final goal to cover her living expenses!!!!

Take a minute, and visit her page to donate or to get more information on Toni!
