Sandwich artist, Karlee Daubeney was trapped in the back freezer of Subway for 8 hours after the door was closed behind her. No word on if she learned how to properly cut bread down the center in those 8 hours.

As Karlee Daubeney’s, 20, shift ended at Subway in the U.K, she went to the back freezer and as the door slammed behind her she was trapped. Karlee was in the freezer from 11:15pm until 7:30am the next morning when she was finally rescued. She told The Sun“At first I was in a state of panic and I was looking for anything that could have opened the door. I was trying to write ‘help’ on pieces of cardboard to slide under the door. I think it was with ketchup or mayonnaise.”

Now, according to the NY Daily Mail, Subway is being sued for “not ensuring the health, safety and welfare of its employees so far as is reasonably practicable.”

Subway is pleading not guilty and refused to comment on the situation.
