The air in China is so bad that people have started buying bottled air from Canada and having it shipped out to China.

Desperate times call for desperate measures. It started out as a joke, but a Canadian group called Vitality Air is packaging air from the Rocky Mountains and selling it to people in China. They’re based out of Edmonton and started selling air in China two months ago. They told the Telegraph, “Our first shipment of 500 bottles of fresh air were sold in four days.” They also note that, “a crate containing 4,000 more bottles is making its way to China [and] most of that shipment has been bought.”

Vanity Air is selling a bottle of their Rocky Mountain Air for about 100 yuan, which is about $21 Canadian. About a week ago, Beijing issued a red alert for pollution that led to a city wide shut down.
