Shia LaBeouf slapped a fan across the face over the weekend, all in the name of art. Entertainment Tonight reports that LaBeouf was holed up in an elevator at England’s Oxford University student union building for 24 hours over the weekend when a student asked the actor to “punch him in the face” as part of his next performance art piece. While LaBeouf was hesitant to punch the man after having just met him, he agreed to issue a strong slap. LaBeouf was inside the elevator as part of the #ELEVATE art installation, which gave students access to talk to the star and his cohorts about anything they liked.
