A Dog Travelled 207 Miles to Return to His Original Owners

Shan and Alan James from Penrhyn-coch, U.K. gave away one of their sheep herding dogs, a 5-year-old border collie named Pero, to a farm in Cockermouth, Cumbria. Alan said via Buzzfeed, “Pero was more a bike dog than he was a large farmworking dog. Because this individual was looking for someone to work with a bike, we thought it was an opportunity for Pero. Being a single dog, we thought he would enjoy it.”

On April 9th, Pero went missing. BUT 13 days later a miracle happened and Pero showed up back at his home in Penrhyn-coch.

Shan said, “He called us out to see. We couldn’t quite believe it. He was adamant it was Pero. We’re just really mystified that he has succeeded in coming home. It’s a mystery to me.”

No word on if Pero had watched Homeward Bound before being given away.
