As TMZ reports, “Sheeran stands accused of ripping off the melody, harmony, and rhythm compositions from ‘Let’s Get It On’ for his smash hit, ‘Thinking Out Loud.’ Ed Townsend and Gaye co-wrote the song. Both are dead, and Townsend’s heirs are now suing Sheeran, claiming he lifted key parts of the ’73 classic and used them in ‘Thinking.'”

You tell us…are the songs similar or is this a stretch?

In other, Ed Sheeran is being sued, news X-Factor winner Matt Cardle is also suing Ed. He claims that “Photograph” is a direct rip off of his song “Amazing.”

Eddy might be spending a lot of time in courtrooms in the next year.
