Just days prior to the release of his highly anticipated album Starboy, The Weeknd just released a 12 minute short film featuring songs from the upcoming album!

The film was directed by Grant Singer, who has previously worked with The Weeknd on his videos for ‘The Hills’ and ‘Can’t Feel My Face’.

Mania features previous visuals from the Starboy and False Alarm videos.

The 12 minute film starts off with a black panther sitting atop a white, throne-like structure and then cuts to The Weeknd driving a sleek, red vehicle on his way to an unknown destination.

Other visuals include a man attempting to kill The Weeknd by slashing him with a knife – while the Lana Del Rey-written track, ‘Party Monster’ plays in the background; the result is The Weeknd and his leading lady, played by French model Anais Mali, standing tall, yet blood soaked as the Daft Punk-assited ‘I Feel It Coming’ plays in the background.

Starboy will drop on Friday and make sure you tune in to KiSS 92.5 for our Starboy Album Listening Party hosted by Devo Brown happening Friday night at 9pm with your chance to win tickets to see him live at the ACC!
