Beyonce made one of her biggest fan’s dreams come true this week with a FaceTime surprise. High school senior Ebony Banks, who is battling stage four cancer, wanted nothing more than to meet the Formation singer.

Her wish was fulfilled when she received a video call from the 35-year-old music superstar.

In a brief clip that was shared of the conversation to Instagram, the teen, whose nickname is Ebob, can be heard telling the Single Ladies singer she loves her, to which Queen Bey responded, “I love you, too.”

Fans only heard about the FaceTime meet-and-greet after a hashtag campaign started by Ebony’s friends went viral. The #EBOBMEETSBEYONCE comments were what caught the Lemonade performer’s attention.

Speaking to KTRK-TV about the campaign, one of Ebony’s friends Karina Gutierrez noted, “Beyoncé is one of her idols. She admires her so much, so we’re trying to put that on Twitter and Instagram to get Beyoncé’s attention.”

Cristal Depaz added, “We [have been trying] to make sure she has a smile on her face and to make her wishes come true.”

Because Ebony is so sick, she’s spent the better part of her senior year in hospital. Earlier this month, her school even held a graduation ceremony just for her so she could receive her diploma.
