Drake Surprises Toronto With Canada Day Performance

Toronto’s own Drake just does not stop giving love back to his city and country! 

Drizzy surprised fans at Nathan Phillips Square last evening by hopping on stage with OVOSound artists DVSN, Roy Woods and Majid Jordan.

The crowd of 50,000 showed the hometown artist major love when he went into hits like ‘Jumpman’ and ‘Gyalchester’

Drake was all smiles and high energy on stage, and also took a few moments to praise not only Canada’s multiculturalism, but our roots as well.

The 6 God yelled to the crowd:

“When we celebrate Canada, we celebrate all of these individuals of all races, all places, that came here and found solitude in this beautiful country… We celebrate our indigenous people.. we celebrate the land that we’re standing on tonight”

A huge display of fireworks lit up Nathan Phillips Square as Drizzy went on stage, celebrating day 3 of the Canada 150 festivities.

Drake seemed extra happy to be in his hometown for the Nation’s celebrations, hugging it out with friends and artists while wearing a patriotic shirt.

Fans of all ages were pretttty stoked to say the least when Drake popped out.
