It’s been exactly 30 years since Johnny and Baby had ‘the time of their life’ BUT ‘Dirty Dancing’ still remains one of the most popular films of our time and it turns 30 years old!!!

The movie opened on Aug. 21, 1987 and has since been a movie favourite.  The original Dirty Dancing was one of the summer’s biggest surprises.  It was filmed on a budget of $6 million and it ended up earning over $213 million at the box office, not to mention its two remakes.

The movie was filmed between two different locations, Lake Lure in North Carolina and the Mountain Lodge in Giles County, VA.

And after 30 years, who could forget the most memorable lines from the movie:
