According to Nielson Music, “The 2017 MTV Video Music Awards generated a sizable sales gain in digital song downloads for tracks performed on the Aug. 27 show.”

Those songs earned 64 percent in sales (on Aug. 27) when compared to numbers on Aug. 26.

For example, Kendrick Lamar’s ‘DNA’ and ‘Humble’ increased 47 percent and 41 percent not to mention, ‘Humble’ took home many awards during the VMAs, including Video of the Year.

According to Billboard, “Pink’s hits medley collected a 70 percent overnight sales increase, Alessia Cara’s “Scars To Your Beautiful” rose 181 percent, and Fifth Harmony’s “Down” jumped 205 percent. Demi Lovato’s “Sorry Not Sorry” sizzled with a 41 percent uptick, while Logic’s performance of “1-800-273-8255” with Cara and Khalid jumped a whopping 185 percent in sales.”
