“The music we just made? It’s gonna put him on another plateau.”

That quote comes from an interview Timbaland did with Rolling Stone back in November where he spoke about working with Justin Timberlake, and by the sounds of the new single, I think he may be right.

‘Filthy’ is the first single from Justin’s forthcoming album, Man of the Woods,  due out February 2nd; it will be the follow up to 2013’s The 20/20 Experience 2 of 2.

‘Filthy’ finds Justin teaming up with frequent collaborator and producer Timbaland; the two have worked on records such as, ‘Cry Me A River’, ‘SexyBack’, ‘Carry Out’ and a personal favourite, ‘My Love’.

‘Filthy’ was co-written and co-produced by Justin, Timbaland and Danja; Mark Romanek who worked on ‘Can’t Stop The Feeling’ directed the single’s video.

Justin had been teasing the release of new music after making a change at his website, www.JustinTimberlake.com, where this image appeared…

He confirmed that the first single was coming earlier this week and also gave us a preview of Man of the Woods by revealing that his inspiration behind the new project was his family – wife Jessica Biel and their son Silas.

Expect to hear Justin perform ‘Filthy’ next month (February 4th) as he performs as the headliner of the Super Bowl Halftime Show.

The last time we heard from Justin, musically speaking, was the hit, ‘Can’t Stop The Feeling’ from the soundtrack of the animated movie Trolls.

Take a listen to ‘Filthy’ and let us know what you think of it!
