If you’re planning on going to the Air Canada Centre this month, be prepared for a brand new colour scheme … it’s going to match the new Raptors jersey, black and gold!! And of course, all was inspired by Drake, who is the team’s global ambassador.

In addition to new colours, Drake and the Raptors have teamed and present a new program called, ‘Welcome Toronto’.  In a press release issued earlier by the Raptors, it was said, “The Welcome Toronto program will also see Drake and the Raptors donate $1 million to refurbish local community basketball courts and another $2 million to Canada Basketball.”

And if that wasn’t enough, the Raptors are going to host six home games, all OVO-themed during this season and it all kicks off Jan. 26 when the Raps play the Utah Jazz.  The best part … the Raps are going to rep their new black and gold outfits.

During a news conference before the Raptors hit the court with the Detroit Pistons, Drake explained, “The key is always to grow. The key is always to evolve.  The whole thing that was most important to me was just the call to action. The $1 million (earmarked for four court refurbishments per year) will hopefully create an amazing atmosphere for everyone in those communities.”
