Camila Cabello has earned her very first No.1 song on the Billboard charts with ‘Havana’ and just recently, has also earned a No.1 spot for her solo-debut album, Camila on the Billboard 200 albums chart.

The only other artists to have been able to accomplish this, having their single and album simultaneously at No.1 on the Billboard charts are Britney Spears and Beyonce.

Beyonce was last to earn both firsts on the charts with ‘Crazy in Love’ featuring her husband JAY-Z, which came off of her Dangerously in Love album, released July 12, 2003.  ‘Crazy in Love’ was No.1 for 8 weeks and was Beyonce’s first single since leaving Destiny’s Child.

Pop Princess Britney Spears was the first artist to accomplish having both No. 1 single and album at the same time.  ‘…Baby One More Time’ was not only the best selling song of 1999 but it also debuted at No.1 in every country and also earned a double-platinum status.

Camila was already making her mark on the Billboard charts with Fifth Harmony, releasing two-full length albums and an EP, all three featured in the top 10 on the Billboard 200’s chart.  As a solo artist, she’s still continuing to make music history and is now joined with other female artists who have made it in a group and as a solo act.  Those include Gwen Stefani (No Doubt), Lauryn Hill (The Fugees), Patti LaBelle (Labelle), Diana Ross (The Supremes) and Beyonce (Destiny’s Child).

According to Forbes, “The singer still has a long way to go before she reaches the true icon status that many of these women have achieved throughout their lengthy and distinguished careers, but with four top 10 albums and now a No. 1 (album and song) to her credit, she’s off to an incredible start, and at just 20, she has plenty of time to continue her reign as one of the most exciting women in pop music.”
