No one photobombs the way Este Haim photobombs.

At the 2018 BRIT awards on February 21, host and comedian Jack Whitehall sat down with Liam Payne and his girlfriend Cheryl Cole to discuss Payne’s new song, “For You,” which the former One Direction member created for the soundtrack of 50 Shades Freed and was set to perform shortly.

Whitehall used the opportunity to get intimate, asking the famous couple what their safe word during sex is, and Cole slyly replied, “don’t stop.” On any other occasion, this cheeky response from an otherwise private celeb would’ve been a showstopper, but the moment was stolen from Payne and his boo by none other than bassist Este Haim.

Haim (a.k.a. one third of pop rock band HAIM) was seated at the table behind Payne and Cole, and she used the spotlight-adjacent opportunity to make some cheeky moves of her own at the camera. Among other things, Haim was sensually readjusting her lipstick, making kiss-y faces and mouthing, “call me.”

A lot of people watching the BRITs didn’t recognize Haim at first, with many Twitter users mistaking her for a drunken non-celeb, instead.

Haim was a good (read: iconic) sport about the whole thing. When LADbible called her a “drunk woman,” she replied: “not drunk, just living my truth.”

So here for that response. The comedy didn’t stop there, though.

This morning, Haim and her sisters were on BBC Radio 1 Breakfast Show with Nick Grimshaw, and she actually called Cole to apologize for what some might call her inappropriate behaviour. “Wait, before anything—congratulations on the baby. Big Mazel,” Haim opened, offering her congrats for the birth of Payne and Cole’s baby last March. “I happened to be sitting behind you last night at the Brit Awards, and had an amazing time, however, some people on the internet are claiming that I may or may not have been—I don’t know—thumbing my nose at the situation in front of me.”

She continues to say that she didn’t mean to cause any harm, and she eventually invites Cole to the HAIM show at Alexander Palace on June 15.

If you didn’t love HAIM already, now you do… right?
