Just a few days ago, John Legend earned himself an EGOT. (FYI, an EGOT stands for the big four awards in the industry: Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony).

He won an Emmy for Jesus Christ Superstar. And of course his wife Chrissy Teigen posted the most epic Instagram video with the best caption referencing Arthur:

Well…Now he’s named the newest coach of NBC’s The Voice for season 16!!

He says, “I’m thrilled to join the coaches of The Voice. I’ve been a guest and mentor on the show multiple times and I’m so excited to discover talented singers and help them make the most of their gift. I hope the world is ready for #TeamJL.”

Back in 2016 he was a guest performer and sang a duet of his song Love Me Now with finalist Wé McDonald.

Now he’ll be on one of those spinning red chairs with coaches Kelly Clarkson, Blake Shelton, and Adam Levine.

Looks like they’re about to have some major competition next season! Can’t wait for this!
