I was never a huge fan of The Hills but I’m a huge fan of The O.C. and now that I know Mischa Barton is part of The Hills Reboot, I might just have to tune in!

Back in August, The Hills: New Beginnings was announced after most of the original cast members walked the red carpet at the MTV Video Music Awards.  Heidi and Spencer Pratt, Audrina Patridge, Whitney Port, Brody Jenner, Stephanie Pratt, Justin Bobby, Jason Wahler and Frankie Delgado were all confirmed stars and now you can add Mischa in the mix.  According to PEOPLE, “The revival, set to premiere in 2019, will reunite original cast members, alongside their children, friends and some new faces, and follow their personal and professional lives while living in Los Angeles.”

Earlier this week, Mischa broke the news on Instagram by posting this brilliant video with The Hills theme song playing in the background.  She captioned the video, “The secret’s out … I’m joining the cast of The Hills.  When MTV approached me with the chance to be a part of the reality show that was inspired by The OC, it felt like the perfect opportunity for an irremissibly inviting new chapter.”

Now you might remember Mischa.  At the age of 17, she played Marissa Cooper on The O.C. which first aired in 2003.  The O.C. turned into Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County and then that lead to The HillsThe Hills aired from 2006 to 2010 and had six seasons.

And … for old times sake ….

The Hills: New Beginnings will premiere some time in 2019.
