Zayn Malik & Nicki Minaj Team Up On 'No Candle No Light'

It’s been months since we last heard from Zayn Malik and he’s finally back with a brand new collaboration featuring Nicki Minaj.

Their new track is called ‘No Candle No Light.’

As Billboard explains, “‘No Candle No Light’ tells the story of a couple whose relationship has run its course.”  Zayn’s new track is all about lost love and betrayal and so we ask, is his new song about on-again girlfriend Gigi Hadid? Zayn’s new track hints at troubled times with Gigi and after dating for two years, Zayn and Gigi called it quits in March of this year and then months later, reconciled.

Zayn co-wrote No Candle No Light and it’s so obvious it’s about Gigi, “Hand on your hand, chest on your chest.  Tangled in bed, but I’m feeling you less.  You know my love ain’t free, why do you make believe.  Why do you sell me dreams, SMS in the morning light.  We gotta, we gotta, we gotta face it, the fire, the fire ain’t no longer blazin’.”

During a June interview with GQ, Zayn spoke about Gigi and their relationship status, “We’re adults. We don’t need to put a label on it, make it something for people’s expectations.”  No Candle No Light has been a highly anticipated collaboration, dating back to March of 2017 when fans heard a preview at a listening party Zayn had.

According to a source, the couple is still going strong since they’ve reconciled, “Gigi and Zayn are in a much better place since splitting.  They needed the space apart for a bit and are now are giving things a second chance. They are very happy together and everyone around them can see it.”
