This has to be the sweetest thing I’ve seen / read in a very long time.  Following Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez’s engagement, former president Barack Obama sent a handwritten letter to the newly-engaged couple.

The letter read, “Jennifer & Alex — Michelle and I just wanted to congratulate you on your engagement. After 26 years together, we can say that whatever challenges life may bring, sharing them with someone you love makes it all better. All the best, Barack Obama.”  A-Rod then captioned the screenshot with, “This means the world to us.”

In the January issue of Good Housekeeping, Michelle Obama revealed to Oprah Winfrey that spending time away from her husband was very difficult, “He didn’t understand distance in the same way. He grew up without his mother in his life for most of his years, and he knew his mother loved him dearly, right? I always thought love was up close. Love is the dinner table, love is consistency — it is presence. So, I had to share my vulnerability and also learn to love differently. It was an important part of my journey of becoming. Understanding how to become us.”

Michelle continues, “A lot of the reason I share this is that I know that people look to me and Barack as the ideal relationship.  I know there’s #relationshipgoals out there. But whoa, people, slow down — marriage is hard!”

In addition to this exciting news, Jennifer revealed on Instagram that she and rapper French Montana recently collaborated on a new record called Medicine.

And Jen also has a new movie coming up – alongside Constance Wu and Cardi B, the movie is called ‘Hustlers’ and according to JLo, it’s ‘coming soon to theatres.’
