My heart is breaking for Halsey.

Halsey has opened up with her fans about her painful medical condition and reveals she has been suffering from Endometriosis.  Halsey tweeted, “Me: sick.  Someone: omgyourealwayssick!!! Me, with a chronic illness, staring into the camera like I’m on the office.”

Halsey continued, “I’m a pretty competent individual.  But I’m a whole entire idiot when I’m sick.  You don’t understand the true meaning of ‘I’m baby’ until you see this s**t.  I need to retire from life.”

In deleted tweets, Halsey shared with her fans the issues she’s had because of this painful condition, “I have endometriosis.  I’ve had 3 miscarriages, 4 surgeries, pretty much in pain every day of my life and I’ve donated/raised upwards of $300,000 in the name of research and support. I’m not trying to be quirky. Or different. I’m just trying to normalize an under-discussed illness.”  According to DailyMailUK, “Endometriosis affects 10% of women world wide.”

Because of the pain and how bad it got, Halsey collapsed on stage while on tour in 2018 and was finally diagnosed with Endometriosis.  While on The Doctors in the same year, Halsey explains, “My tour manager had to take me to a hospital and the whole time I was there no one knew what to tell me. Dehydration, stress, anxiety, and I was saying, “What about my pain?” A lot of the time they can make you think it’s in your head.”

When it was finally revealed what exactly was causing Halsey all of this pain, she remembers, “It was so bittersweet because the relief of knowing I wasn’t making it all up, and I wasn’t being sensitive, and it wasn’t all in my head, but it also kind of sucked to know that I was going to be living with this forever.”
