Shawn Mendes Responds to Justin Bieber's Hockey Challenge

This has to be the most Canadian thing, ever!

A few weeks ago, Shawn Mendes was on the cover of Observer Magazine where he was named the ‘prince of pop.’  Justin Bieber knew at that moment he was officially dethroned from the ‘prince of pop’ title and challenged Shawn to a game of hockey.  Justin’s exact comment read, “Gonna have to break a few more records to dethrone my title there bud (Canadian voice) … but if you want we can play hockey for it but I heard your a real bender on the ice.  We could just drop the buckets and tilt for it.”

Shawn has since responded to Justin during a fan Q&A.  When the fans asked Shawn about the comment that was made by Justin, Shawn says, “The rumour is that he wants to play me in ice hockey. I would say right now he’s the better hockey player, but a few weeks of practice would change things.  It wouldn’t take me very long to be able to step up to his level I think. That was a challenge Justin Bieber!’.”  Initially, Shawn responded with, “Any time any day you just let me know” however, it’s not officially until Shawn says it himself.  Watch the video below.
