I still can’t believe it’s been 13 years since Taylor Swift dropped her debut album! The album, which was self-titled, landed in the number one spot on the US Top Country Albums Chart, it reached Platinum status in Australia and Canada, Gold in the United Kingdom and 7x Platinum in the U.S.

13 years later, Taylor is thanking the fans for making her dreams come true.  In a recent Instagram post, Taylor is seen performing in Nashville by a waterfront and in front of a small group of fans and in the caption writes, “I said in an interview 13 years ago ‘I’m just hoping that I have a second album that does as well as the first and someday get to be a headliner, and always be the same person that I started out as.’  Scrolling through your posts today has me feeling all the feelings & I want to thank you. Because of you, there was a 2nd 3rd 4th 5th 6th and 7th album. You guys made me into a headliner because you wanted to see me play. And your support all these years is what’s helped me stay true to that kid I was when I started out. #13yearsoftaylorswift”

In the second photo Taylor posted, it’s what her concerts look like now, with thousands upon thousands of fans in attendance.

So why the number ’13?’ Taylor was born on December 13th, 1989 and ’13’ is known to be her lucky number.
