Halsey Pays Tribute to Iconic Female Artists in the 'You Should Be Sad' Music Video

Halsey just dropped the first single for her upcoming album, Manic, which goes on sale January 17th.

It’s called ‘You Should Be Sad’ and a lot of fans are saying that it gives off some new “country vibes” from her.

In the music, Halsey sports a black studded bikini with cowboy boots and hat, and tosses off nods to other empowering female artists such as Shania Twain, Carrie Underwood, Lady Gaga and an obvious Christina Aguilera ‘Dirrty’ reference.

Xtina, Gaga, Carrie, and of course Shania, this was one loaded with nods to badass idols of mine. Had the vision to do a “before he cheats” but instead about after he does haha.
