Selena Gomez Drops 'Feel Me,' A Song Recognized As A Fan Favourite!

Selena Gomez finally drops a fan favourite – a song called ‘Feel Me.’  Selena shared the exciting news on Instagram and in the caption she writes, “On the Revival Tour, I introduced a song that you guys haven’t stopped talking about since. Soo you asked and I listened.”  Feel Me serves as a bonus track on the Rare album.

So who exactly inspired Selena to write and perform such a record? Well, without mentioning his name and based on the lyrics, it’s about Selena’s time with her ex-boyfriend, Justin Bieber.  Chatting with Candice Valdez, host of Radio Disney, Selena shared:

 

“I wrote this song over a year ago.  It’s obviously a very emotional song for me.  It’s interesting to see how far I’ve come from that point to now. Me sharing my story is exactly what I’ve always done. I can’t be unauthentic. I can’t pretend that I’m not going through something when it’s obvious that I had been.  It’s one of those songs where I just feel like it’s out, it’s released and I hope that girls and guys all over the world can feel supported. That’s a feeling everyone’s felt. That was something that I needed to do for myself regardless of what was [going to] come after.”

And during a Twitter Fan Q&A in January, Selena was asked if ‘Feel Me’ would ever see the light of day? Selena responded, “The song was from when I was in a different place and doesn’t fit with where I am right now.”  Since then, Selena has had a change of heart.

 

The heart wants what the heart wants and well, we want more music from Selena!
