Demi Lovato has done it again – she dropped a self-love anthem titled, ‘I Love Me.’

As People writes, “The music video (released on the same day as the single) is also full of references to the pop star’s past, including her overdose in the summer of 2018.”

In the beginning of the music video, Demi is fighting … herself! We see Demi going up against three different versions of herself.  Once Demi realizes what she’s doing, she builds up her confidence and hits the streets of New York.  As she’s walking outside, a few scenarios occur:

  • Demi walks by a girl, who’s being lifted into an ambulance on a stretcher.
  • Demi walks by a bride and groom who are running across the street – fans believe this could be Demi’s ex, Wilmer Valderrama and his fiance, Amanda Pacheco.  Demi and Wilmer dated for six years and broke up in 2016.
  • And lastly – Demi walks by trio of guys (Jonas Brothers) who starred alongside Demi in Camp Rock (2008).  Also, Demi and Joe dated in 2010 and have remained friends.

Earlier this week when Demi stopped by The Ellen Show, she explained, “I was on dating apps for a while but as I’ve spent some time with myself over the past couple months, I realized that I am the type of person that will find any way to regulate when I’m sad or lonely or whatever.  I have to fight those battles on my own and I can’t let somebody come in and fix those issues for me. So right now, I’m single and spending my Saturday nights by myself.”

‘I Love Me’ is the followup to ‘Anyone,’ which was performed during the 2020 GRAMMY Awards.
