Lil Nas X has been known to troll here and there, and April Fools Day was his time to shine.

The ‘Old Town Road’ singer took to Twitter yesterday to announce he is no longer gay, and that he has been setting us up for an elaborate April Fools scheme.

Less than 20 minutes later, he announced that he’s back to his original status, with Troye Sivan welcoming him back to the LGBTQ community.

Lil Nas X came out last year during Pride Month, which made headlines while ‘Old Town Road’ was the topping the charts.

With over 38,000 comments under his first April Fools tweet, it’s fair to say Lil Nas X got the internet buzzing, and overall offered a great distraction from the new normal life we’re all trying to adjust to.
