Ariana Grande Posts Heartfelt Message on Third Anniversary of Manchester Attack: "My Heart, Thoughts, Prayers Are with You Always."

It’s been three years since the Manchester Arena bombing, and Ariana Grande shares a heartfelt message with the fans.

In an Insta-story post, Ariana writes, “I want to take a moment to acknowledge and send my love to everyone that is feeling the sadness and tremendous heaviness of the anniversary coming up this week.  Not a day goes by that this doesn’t affect you and all of us still.  I will be thinking of you all week and weekend.  My heart, thoughts, prayers are with you always.”  Ariana also adds a bee emoji – the emblem for Manchester.  Recently, Ari got a bee tattoo to honour those affected by the bombing.

Performing inside London’s Manchester Arena on May 22, 2017, while on the Dangerous Woman tour, 22 victims lost their lives and hundreds of young fans were injured.

In an interview with British Vogue back in 2018, Ariana revealed she’d been diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder following the bombing.  Ariana says, “It’s hard to talk about because so many people have suffered such severe, tremendous loss.  It’s a real thing.  I know those families and my fans, and everyone there experienced a tremendous amount of it as well.  Time is the biggest thing.  I feel like I shouldn’t even be talking about my own experience, like I shouldn’t even say anything.  I don’t think I’ll ever know how to talk about it and not cry.”

Ariana has a Manchester tribute record on her Sweetener album called ‘Get Well Soon.’  Ariana shared, “It’s just about being there for each other and helping each other through scary times and anxiety.  There’s just some dark sh-t out there, man. We just have to be there for each other as much as we can. You just never f–king know.”

Following the terrorist attack, Ariana organized One Love Manchester, a benefit concert featuring performances from Ariana, Miley Cyrus, Justin Bieber, Katy Perry and more.  The concert was to benefit the We Love Manchester Emergency Fund, with over $10 million raised.  Prior to Marcus Mumford’s opening performance, a minute of silence was held in memory of those killed in Manchester.
