Initially scheduled for an April 10 release, Gaga postponed ‘Chromatica’ due to COVID-19 and it was well worth the wait!  The album features 16 brand new tracks, including Gaga’s previously released tracks, ‘Stupid Love,’ ‘Rain On Me’ with Ariana Grande and ‘Sour Candy’ with BLACKPINK.

‘Chromatica’ is Gaga’s sixth studio album, and the follow-up to her 2016 release, Joanne.  Talking about her new album with Zane Lowe, Gaga says, “I think that the beginning of the album really symbolizes, for me, what I would call the beginning of my journey to healing, and what I would hope would be an inspiration for people that are in need of healing through happiness, through dance.”

Working alongside Michael Tucker, known as BloodPop, he tells Rolling Stone he and Gaga would write ideas at her home, and while none of their collaborations throughout this time made the album, one song stuck out – Stupid Love.  “I worked on that demo for a while but it was missing something I couldn’t quite put my finger on.  When I played it for Max Martin, he had some fantastic ideas that really elevated it,” explains Michael.  While in Kansas City during the Joanne World Tour, Michael played Stupid Love for Gaga in her dressing room and now considers that moment to being ‘the start of Chromatica.’
