According to a source close to Demi, “It was a tough decision, but Demi and Max have decided to go their separate ways to focus on their respective careers.  They have respect and love for one another and will always cherish the time they spent together.”

Demi and Max made their relationship public back in March, and Max proposed in Malibu on July 22.  Following the news of their engagement, Demi posted on Instagram, “When I was a little girl, my birth dad always called me his ‘little partner’ – something that might’ve sounded stranger without his southern cowboy life accent.  To me it made perfect sense.  And today that word makes perfect sense again but today, I’m officially going to be someone else’s partner.”  The couple celebrated their 6-month anniversary earlier this month.

Following the news about their spilt, both have been active on the gram.  Max posted an all-while photo with the words, “Jesus loves you” written across, whereas Demi is rocking a ring-less finger.

While on The Morning Mash Up, at the time, Demi explained, “We started dating.  We immediately went into quarantine.  I knew I loved him the night I met him.  So a week later we went into quarantine.  I was like, ‘Look, we’re quarantining together.  Um, cause I love you.'”

It’s a unfortunate and sad situation however, could this be a case of ‘falling too fast?’ Only time will tell.  Wishing the best of luck to both Demi and Max.
