If you’re not familiar – the Hart Trophy honours the NHL’s most valuable player whereas the Ted Lindsay Award recognizes the league’s most outstanding player.

Matthew, who led the league in goals (60) is the first Leafs player in 67 years to win the Hart Trophy.  Matthew now joins Babe Pratt (1943-44) and Ted Kennedy (1954-55) as the ‘only players in NHL history to win the Hart Trophy.’
