Some call him the best rapper in the game and he may have once again proven to be the man to beat in the rap game as Kendrick Lamar released his highly anticipated album, DAMN.

The album features 14 new singles, including the track, ‘Humble’; K-Dot released the music video for it last week.

DAMN also features collaborations with Rihanna (‘Loyalty’) and U2 (‘XXX’); Mega producer Mike WiLL Made-It (who has worked with everyone from Miley Cyrus to Rihanna), Sounwave (back to him in a second), The Alchemist, 9th Wonder, Cardo & DJ Dahi all helped to produce the record.

DAMN is the follow up to Kendrick’s critically acclaimed 2015 album, To Pimp A Butterfly which earned him 11 Grammy nominations and the Grammy for ‘Best Rap Album’.

In late March, Kendrick dropped the song, ‘The Heart Part 4’ which featured some shots at rappers (most say Big Sean) and a warning to everyone else, “You know what time it is, ante up, this is in forever…Y’all got till April the 7th to get ya’ll s*** together.”

There are also theories all over the internet that DAMN is the first of two Kendrick albums dropping this month; the theory states that Kendrick’s other new album is likely to be called Nation.

If you listen to his song, ‘The Heart Part 4’, Kendrick raps,  “I said it’s like that, dropped one classic, came right back / ‘Nother classic, right back / My next album, the whole industry on a ice pack / With TOC, you see the flames / In my E-Y-E’s; it’s not a game.”

Also, producer Sounwave (who work’s on Kendrick’s label TDE and produced many tracks on DAMN as mentioned above) tweeted out the following:

Hmmm, what could it all mean?

In the meantime, check Kendrick’s brand new album DAMN and let us know what you think!
