It’s been revealed that Ed Sheeran has been working on a song with ex-Fifth Harmony member Camila Cabello, which will be on her first solo album, called The Hurting.  The Healing.  The Loving., out September 2017.

In an interview with Brazilian personality Hugo Gloss, Ed confirmed that he wrote a song for Camila and during another interview with Zane Lowe from Beat’s 1, Ed says the song is called ‘The Boy’ and will appear on Camila’s album.

Ed explained that he wrote the track based on Camila’s vocal ability, he sent her the demo and she reworked the lyrics.

Both Ed and Camila describe this song as “having a James Brown-inspired funk to it” and both agreed that it should be a standout track on the album.

Ed says, “Like how Beyonce came out with ‘Crazy in Love?’ it’s just sass and big vocals.  Camila has a voice that should really be shown off.”
