First things first J.Cole was unreal, for real. The “4 Your Eyez Only” tour landed in Toronto tonight and Mr. Cole world lit up the Air Canada Centre.

J. Cole kicked off the show with “For Whom The Bell Tolls” emerging from back stage in an orange jump suit while being escorted in hand cuffs by “authorities” to the stage.

There was no lack of crowd participation throughout the duration of the show. J. Cole even selected one of the 19,000 fans from the crowd to rap along to some of his older tracks including “Lights Please” off of his third album Cole World: The Sideline Story.

The energy during the show was so intense, fans were on their feet the whole show; it’s been two years since his last Toronto show (OVO in 2015) so he was excited to be back in Toronto. He even had a live orchestra perform along side him for majority of the show.

J. Cole shared words of wisdom throughout  the show including his “live for the moment mentality”. He also shared intimate moments with his fans disclosing a time when a S.W.A.T team broke into is suburban home while sharing the real CVS footage from the cameras outside his home.

The best part of the night was when J. Cole finally performed the songs everyone had been waiting for: “G.O.M.D” and “Power Trip“. Then the crowd completely lost their minds when J.Cole ended his set with  “No Role Modelz”.

Looking forward to seeing how fans enjoy night two, but for now it’s time to spend the night in Dreamville… until tomorrow’s show.
