LISTEN: Sia’s New Song ‘Cheap Thrills’ That Was Originally Penned for Rihanna!

Yesterday on Beats 1, Sia released another song from her upcoming album This Is Acting; take a listen to ‘Cheap Thrills’!

Sia initially wrote the song for Rihanna’s upcoming album Anti but she rejected the song, which to me is a little bit surprising as the song definitely has a Caribbean vibe to it.

Sia did however tell BBC that her & Rihanna recently met to discuss songs for the album, “The other night she came over and listened to half of 25 songs I played her—’cause she’s still looking for songs for her new album.”

She said, “She took four, but I don’t know if they’ll end up…I’m pretty sure I have one on the next album, but I don’t know if I’ll end up with more.”

This Is Acting will be out January 29th!
