Sam Smith has dropped a new music video for his latest single, ‘One Last Song’.

The video starts off by filming Sam Smith from the back while he’s standing on stage, where we get a glimpse of ballerina dancers, a few crew members and what it looks to be fake snow falling from the top.  Sam starts off by singing on stage and eventually, travels around and walks through hallways, staircases, paparazzi, a dressing room filled with some beautiful flowers and then the video ends with Sam on the roof of the building, giving the camera the ultimate stare-down.

According to Billboard, “”One Last Song” is about an ex of Smith’s who will no longer directly communicate with him, so to get through the message he needs to get off his chest, he wrote this song. And if lyrics such as “Here’s one last song for you/ And I hope it makes you feel/ And I hope it makes you burn/ And I hope it reminds you of how much it hurt” aren’t enough, the visual for the breakup track exudes the goodbye in an affecting way.”

Sam’s latest album, The Thrill Of It All dropped on November 3 and it shot straight to the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200’s chart.
