Coldplay to Headline Super Bowl Halftime Show

It was announced during last night’s Thursday Night Football game between the Lions and Packers that Coldplay will be the headliner during the Super Bowl 50 Halftime Show!

The Super Bowl will take place on February 7 at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, home of the 49ers.

According to Us Weekly‘s, 2013 performer Bruno Mars will also join the band onstage, as will other “friends of the group.”

Another previous Superbowl performer, Beyoncé, makes a guest appearance on Coldplay’s new album A Head Full of Dreams, so could Queen B be one of the other “friends of the group” ? Let the rumour mill begin!
