The Backstreet Boys recently visited Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show and together with The Roots, they performed their 1999 hit, ‘I Want It That Way’ with – CLASSROOM INSTRUMENTS and it’s truly amazing *says my 10-year old self*

Here’s how it went down – Brian rocked the apple shaker and wood block, Nick showed off his tambourine skills, Kevin had the güiro, AJ handled the maraca and Howie had … coconuts,

In addition to their amazing collaboration performance, BSB performed their latest hit, ‘Don’t Go Breaking My Heart’, which is their first single in 5 years!

And that’s not it – their latest single will part of their upcoming album (which will be their ninth) and it’s said to be released this fall.  Last October, BSB member Kevin told Rolling Stone, “The group has cut some Nashville songs and we’re in the lap playing around, experimenting.”  Word has it that the group will most likely explore ‘country music’ for their upcoming album – which is a lot different to their pop sound from back in the day.  A.J. is also coming out with his own album, which is also country inspired and he’ll also participate in NSYNC’s Lance Bass’ documentary about boy bands and the man who started it all in the 80’s – Lou Pearlman.  That doc. will be named, ‘The Lou Pearlman Project’ and it’ll premiere later this year on YouTube Red.
