Last night, Toronto was treated to back-to-back shows featuring Kevin Hart.

The opening acts featured Kevin’s friends and fellow comedians Joey Wells, Will Horton, and Na’im Lynn otherwise known as the “Plastic Cup Boyz,” and they definitely got the party started and prepared us for what was to come.

Before Kevin Hart took to the stage, a short introduction video was shown highlighting his many accolades which isn’t only reserved for comedy – he also has a satellite radio channel, a TV channel, has appeared in many movies/TV shows AND he was even an underwear model! (No joke!)

Once he got on stage it was non-stop laughter for the entire 75 minute set.

The theme of his show related to his tour name, in which he explained how he’s acted “irresponsible” in different situations whether it’s with his children, wife, or friends.

Explaining his show through this blog wouldn’t do it justice unless you were actually there, but if you were, then you’d understand.

Just to give you a little snippet of his material, Hart explained how there was a language barrier on his trip to Japan. He was on a rollercoaster, or so he thought, and couldn’t get his harness to click in which caused him to panic. When he turned to a Japanese man next to him to explain his issue, all the man could say in English was “So excited!” Turns out he wasn’t on a rollercoaster but rather it was a tram LOL.

It’s also worth noting that the use of cell phones was strictly prohibited once inside the arena, and while this was a little upsetting, it was refreshing to just sit back and enjoy the moment. It wasn’t until the very end of the show that Kevin Hart allowed the audience to take out their phones and record or snap a photo. He also asked everyone to put their phone lights on so he could record a video of the entire arena.

All in all, the show was a hit and my cheeks were actually hurting from smiling and laughing so much. Kevin Hart is one of, if not, the hardest working man in entertainment right now!
