Earlier this week, Ariana Grande released the track list for her upcoming album, Sweetener, which will be available August 17.

One of the records is called ‘Pete’ and well, fans are not liking it.  Mind you – we ALL knew about this from weeks ago, so I’m not sure why fans feel the need to comment now.

An Instagram user commented that considering Ariana and Pete have only been together for a few month, a song written and named after Pete shouldn’t have been added to the new album.  Ariana then responded with, “He’s my fiancé!  This is my album.  I’m an honest and emotional artist and human being and If my openness in my work isn’t for you, that’s okay.  I won’t be offended.  It’s a special song about the most special human being I’ve ever met.  Also, the song is sick.”

Ariana shared a snippet of ‘Pete’ last month and when a Twitter user asked Ariana about it, Ariana tweeted that it was an ‘interlude about her future husband’ and it was titled ‘Pete.’  Ariana then explained, “I had other options but I liked this best.”

I guess we’ll just have to wait until August 17 to hear ‘Pete’ in full!
