Riverdale’s Lili Reinhart announced that she is officially taking a break from the Twitter platform.  Lili is calling Twitter ‘toxic’ and announced her decision via Instagram.

Lili posted four messages on Insta-story.  The first, “Do people on Twitter ever get tired of being so negative and disrespectful to literally everyone and everything?”

Followed by, “There’s Hate everywhere.  But especially Twitter.  It’s like a cesspool for evil 15 year olds who don’t know what the hell they’re talking about and have nothing better to do.”

And then, “Taking a break from that toxic site and the people on it who feel the need to constantly attack me, my cast mates, my relationship and Riverdale.”

Lastly, “Hate to break it to you online trolls: Spreading your hate and overall negativity online won’t make you any less miserable.”

And it didn’t end there – YouTuber Elijah Daniel felt the need to add furl to fire by posting a very nasty and unnecessary comment towards Lili and Riverdale: “Does the Riverdale fanbase know the show sucks and don’t care or do they just not know.”

In comes Riverdale’s finest, KJ Apa, “Do your fans know that you’re a f****n idiot or do they just not care?”

Don’t come for Ashleigh Murray …

Ashleigh tweets, “He’s worried about a fanbase when none of us know who he is.  People recognize me from the back of my head.  What do you do?”

And, “It was never about his opinion.  It’s not my man’s kind of show either.  I pettywapped because I go for my friends and regardless of taste, we all work very hard.”

Oh no! It’s Cole Sprouse now! “What a nice day to ruin my mood with social media,” he tweets.

With a final thought from Lili, “Holidays are great because websites produce all these articles like ‘gifts your best friend will love’ and ‘adorable gifts for your mom this Christmas’ and I get to see all this s*** that I’m going to end up buying myself!”

Why do Internet trolls have to be such … trolls!?
