Selena Gomez is back, and by back we mean INSTAGRAM BACK!

It’s been exactly four months since we last heard (and seen) from Selena on the gram two days ago, she finally returned and with an important message to all of her followers, “It’s been awhile since you have heard from me, but I wanted to wish everyone a happy new year and to thank you for your love and support. Last year was definitely a year of self-reflection, challenges and growth. It’s always those challenges which show you who you are and what you are capable of overcoming. Trust me, it’s not easy, but I am proud of the person I am becoming and look forward to the year ahead. Love you all.”

Selena also announced her new PUMA Sport campaign along with this sweet message, “Lots to look forward to in 2019. I can’t wait to share the projects I’ve been working on with you. The first one is here: Cali Shoe BY @pumasportstyle.”  Looking totally vintage, Selena is sporting the ‘Cali’ in white and the shoe is an updated version of the 80s classic.  PUMA explains, “The classic 80’s PUMA California has been reimagined to create the Cali. Originally a laid-back training sneaker, the Cali has been given an edge with the progressive rubber tooling whilst the upper remains true to the original.”  The shoe has the original PUMA details, it includes a perforated vamp, a lac closure, PUMA branding in the heel midsole and much more!

One month prior to her ‘mental breakdown,’ Selena posted this photo on Instagram and wrote, “Mood lol (I was looking at myself in the mirror -like an idiot!) Update: taking a social media break. Again. As much as I am grateful for the voice that social media gives each of us, I am equally grateful to be able to step back and live my life present to the moment I have been given. Kindness and encouragement only for a bit! Just remember- negative comments can hurt anybody’s feelings. Obvi.”

In October, Selena entered a treatment facility for her second time of 2018, to help with her anxiety and depression.  Weeks prior, Selena was hospitalized for health conditions that are related to Lupus and complications with her kidney transplant.  A source says, “Selena’s back at her house and feeling good.  She’s been spending time with her friends and family and just getting back into her normal routine. She’s healthy and feeling a lot happier. The time away was good for her to reset and figure out some new ways of dealing with the issues that have been bringing her down.”
