The 'Man' Responsible for #TheFappening Has Been Caught!

It’s been a while since we’ve had an update on the #TheFappening, but the FBI has been searching tirelessly for who’s reasonable and FINALLY someone has been caught.

The FBI are saying, 36 year old Ryan Collins (that’s right, a 36 year old man), is responsible for the flood of nude celebrities pictures that leaked in 2014. Collins is the man behind stealing the email and iCloud passwords of celebrities like Kate Upton, Jennifer Lawrence, and dozens more.

In 2 years he hacked over 100 accounts and what was his genius hacking method??? By just pretending to be apple or Google! As Gawker reported,  “Collins is said to have conducted a series of phishing schemes between 2012 and 2014, in which he sent emails to his victims pretending to be Apple or Google, asking them to update their passwords. Once they responded, he then used that information to gain access to their personal information. In some cases, he downloaded the entire contents of their iCloud libraries. In total, Collins found his way into the private information of at least 50 iCloud and 72 Gmail accounts, prosecutors say, “most of which belonged to female celebrities.” 

While he wasn’t the actual person to post the nude pics online, he has admitted to being the hacker and is expected to get 18 months to 5 years in prison.
