And here it is! We’re a day away from the 2019 GRAMMY awards and FYI – if you haven’t heard, Ariana Grande will NOT be performing nor attending the biggest night in music because well, according to her, they won’t allow her to perform her newest hits like ‘7 Rings.’

According to Billboard, “In the Associated Press interview, which Grande screenshotted in her tweet, Ken Ehrlich (a GRAMMY producer) is quoted as saying that the singer ‘felt it was too late to put something together for the show.’  However, Grande says that is simply not the case.”

The quote read, “Grammys producer Ken Ehrlich said the show had multiple conversations with Ariana Grande about possibly performing Sunday but the singer ‘felt it was too late for her to pull something together.’  Ehrlich told The Associated Press on Thursday that she isn’t performing at the Grammys, where is nominated for two awards.  He said the Recording Academy wanted her to perform after having ‘conversations over the past month or so.'”

Ariana has since fired back on Twitter writing, “Mhmm here it is! ‘Too late for her to pull something together…”  She continues, I’ve kept my mouth shut but now you’re lying about me.  I can pull together a performance over night and you know that, Ken.  It was when my creativity and self expression was stifled by you, that I decided to not to attend.  I hope the show is exactly what you want it to be and more.”

“I offered 3 different songs.  It’s about collaboration.  It’s about feeling supported.  It’s about art and honesty.  Not politics.  Not doing favours or playing games.  It’s just a game y’all.  And I’m sorry but that’s not what music is to me,” Ari tweeted.

And lastly, “Passed a Grammy’s bus with my face on it typing those.  Hope that helps.  Everyone understand my decision.  I am still grateful for the acknowledgment this year.”

Ariana is nominated for two GRAMMY awards this year – ‘Best Pop Vocal Album’ and ‘Best Pop Solo Performance.’  Good for Ari for speaking up!  And since the GRAMMYs do not want ‘7 Rings,’ here it is! Watch below.
