Last night, Ariana Grande kicked off her Sweetener / Thank U, Next World Tour at the Times Union Centre in Albany, New York.

During soundcheck, Ariana explained to thousands of fans in attendance that ‘Ghostin” and ‘Imagine’ would not be performed, because still to this day, they’re ‘too heavy for her to perform.’

Instead, Ariana decided to honour her ex-boyfriend, Mac Miller in a completely different way – a way that had her fans talking all night.

As fans made their way to their seats, Ariana played Mac’s music, ending with ‘Dang!’ right before she made her way to the stage.

One fan Tweeted, “Ariana Grande is playing Mac Miller right before her opening song for Sweetener tour right now and my heart can’t handle it.  So many tears.”

 

While another fan write, “Ariana Grande had Mac Miller’s music playing while people got into their seats for her concert.”

Ariana later wrote on Instagram, “I really don’t know what to say yet, for now, thank you will suffice.  A dream come true type of night.  I love you.  So much.  Thank you.”
