In a new interview with BTS, the group reveals to Apple Music’s Beats 1 Brookes Reese who they would like to collaborate with next and ‘Boy With Luv’ came together with Halsey.

When asked, group leader RM explains, “We met two-years-ago at the BBMAs.  She told us she became a fan after watching [our] music videos. We knew her too, of course, she had the biggest song that year.  She came to Korea last year and we met again. We talked about collaborating or working on something.  We got this track for this album and thought Halsey had the best voice for this track. It happened and, boom, here we are.”

BTS also revealed to Apple Music they would love to collaborate with Drake, Billie Eilish and Troye Sivan (I’m not even mad at their choices). BTS has already collaborated with The Chainsmokers, Nicki Minaj, Steve Aoki and as of recently, both Halsey and Ed Sheeran.

And check this out – BTS and Halsey’s video for ‘Boy With Luv’ has made major success on YouTube.  As it was reported by YouTube Music, “We’re still running the numbers, but we can confirm that ‘Boy With Luv’ is now officially the most-viewed 24 hour debut in YouTube history.”

BTS was formed back in 2013 by Big Hit Entertainment and have been taking over Korea since.  For the last three years, they have gained heavy recognition, internationally and by the looks of it, they’re not going anywhere, anytime soon.  BTS made their SNL debut last weekend, they were announced to perform alongside Halsey at the 2019 Billboard Music Awards AND they released their sixth EP, it’s called Map of the Soul: Personal and it’s out now!
