NSYNC's Joey Fatone on Performing with Ariana Grande: "I Did Get A Little Teary-Eyed"

It was just last weekend Ariana Grande took the Coachella stage and was joined by a handful of amazing artists – NSYNC being one.

Following their epic performance, Entertainment Tonight caught up with the boyband and member Joey Fatone gushed about the performance, revealing to ET he got emotional, “It was really cool. I did get a little teary-eyed, I’m not going to lie.”  He explained that during this year’s Coachella music festival, he brought his 18-year old daughter, Briahna along for the ride, “She was Snapchatting and she was screaming like, ‘Go Daddy!’… I was like, ‘Oh my god, it’s so beautiful.’ It was cool to see her see that.”

Joey joked, “I was 17 when I started with *NSYNC, and now she’s 18 years old. It’s bizarre. That means I’m old!”  And as for their performance with Ariana, Joey says, “[Grande] always has something up her sleeves, so I’m sure she’s going to have more surprises for you guys that weekend, but she just wanted to do it this weekend.  She’ll do other things as well and kind of mix it up.”

Joey continued, “But it was a blast.  I think the best time that I actually had was on the bus ride home. We just got to hang out, just really shoot the crap, hang out and really be fun, have a couple drinks with each other, and we haven’t done that in a long time. We actually rode a tour bus back to LA, which was cool.”

Although it’s been a few years since NSYNC has stepped foot on the big stage, Joey says, “I’ve still been in the limelight, as far as hosting and doing other things. It’s a different vibe and a different thing for me. To go back into the musical realm, the music side of things, I kind of miss it, I do. … It was fun to do, it was a great idea… and when we figured out that we were going to start dancing, I was like, ‘Hopefully my body will do what I need to do.'”

And lastly, “I love enjoying and doing different things, so doing The Masked Singer is a blast, doing Common Knowledge on the Game Show Network has been such a great time.  We’re excited.”

Following their Coachella performance, Ariana posted a handful of photos with the cutest captions.  In one photo, Ariana writes, “I am never going to stop posting about this.  Unfollow me today.”

And in another post, “I’ll be recovering from this moment for the next twenty years tbh.  The nicest human beings possible.  It can go either way when you meet your childhood heroes and no one has ever been kinder or cooler or sillier or more lovely to be around.
