Ed tells Charlamagne, “The fact is, I’ve already achieved more than I thought I could.  So now I’m at a point where I’m just having fun.”  Let’s begin …

On Ed’s new collaboration album, you’ll notice a track that features Eminem and 50 Cent called Remember The Name.  According to Ed, he says this very collab with both rappers was all ‘meant to be’ and as he explains, before playing a show with Eminem down in London, Ed had suggested to do a collaboration with both Em and 50 Cent, “I walked into Eminem’s dressing room, and it’s him and 50 Cent in there.  I was like, this has to be meant to be!”  During Ed’s interview, he explained to Charlamagne how and why he relates so much to Eminem, “I really relate to him, even more so now.  As a kid I related to him just because I felt like a bit of an outcast, but even now like the way that we’ve both stuck in our hometowns, we both live here, we both got to a level where you’re so famous you cannot go outside.”

Ed also revealed he and long-time girlfriend turned fiancé, Cherry Seabrook are now married! When Charlamagne asked Ed, “Is it healthy to think that the best of you is another person, though?” Ed explained, Maybe not.  It might not be healthy, but I feel like it’s a human flaw. I constantly wake up every day with Cherry and I’m just like, ‘Why the f— are you with me? Like, you could literally be with whoever you wanted, and you’ve chosen me.’”  Read more about their marriage here.

And did you know it was actually Cherry who suggested Justin Bieber for a collaboration? Ed explains, “Bieber just got married. I just got married.  That song is about being at [an] industry event with the woman you love, or even the person you love, and kind of being like, ‘F**k this, let’s just have fun ourselves.'”

And Ed’s final thought about finally being comfortable in his own skin, “I just think being yourself is so powerful.  “Because of it I have now a confidence in myself; because of being myself, all of these great things have happened.”
