Ariana Grande has sued Forever 21 for $10 million US over using her image in an advertising campaign.

The lawsuit alleges the company used a model that looks just like Ariana , including her signature long brunette ponytail…

“misappropriating Ms. Grande’s name, image, likeness and music in order to create the false perception of her endorsement.”

The music mentioned is Ari’s song “7 Rings” with the campaign similar to the pink aesthetic of the video, lyrics from the song, and the model wearing similar clothes.

Reports suggest that there were talks between Forever 21 and Ariana about working together on a campaign, but Ari turned down the endorsement deal after the clothing company ‘refused to pay the proposed amount’.

Forever 21 responded to CNN about the lawsuit, “Forever 21 does not comment on pending litigation as per company policy. That said, while we dispute the allegations, we are huge supporters of Ariana Grande and have worked with her licensing company over the past two years. We are hopeful that we will find a mutually agreeable resolution and can continue to work together in the future.”
