Rihanna may not be dropping music anytime soon but she has released a visual autobiography.  It’s a book that includes 504 pages with 1,050 colour images and 11 special inserts.  The book includes photos of Rihanna from when she was a child living in Barbados, as well as her fashion, beauty and musical journey.

Talking to Billboard, Rihanna says, “Looking back at these times in the book, I’d tell my younger self to take more vacations then because there’s hardly any time now.  I’ve worked so much and so hard, consistently, even when I was young. I never saw the day I could take a break, and now it’s even more crazy. I can’t believe there was a time I only did music. Now, any little chance I can even get three hours to myself, I take it and I appreciate it. It was all worth it, though.”

This past week, Rihanna was joined by her family, friends and entire team at the Guggenheim Museum in New York City to celebrate the release of her autobiography.  During her speech, Rihanna explains, “I just gave [the publishers] a USB filled with pictures and said, ‘Here you go!’ And they said, ‘We’ll make art.’”

According to Billboard, “The book, which currently retails for $150, is more than just a large, incredibly heavy hardcover publication containing stunning professional photographs from her whirlwind life. Rihanna gives readers a rare and intimate look into her journey, chronicled in family pictures, captivating tour shots, and even rare handwritten letters, like the one young Robyn wrote to her mother, telling her she hopes she can come home soon for the holidays.”
