Don Cherry was fired yesterday by Rogers Sportsnet following his controversial comments during a recent Hockey Night in Canada broadcast,

 

 

His co-host Ron Maclean came under fire for his response (or seeming lack thereof) and he also issued an apology,

 

 

Sportsnet fired him on Monday afternoon, releasing this statement…
